About Razor
Born and raised on the west side of San Antonio and graduated in 2000 from Lanier High School. My parents divorced when I was 12 so I decided to live with my grandparents. That's where I fell in love with conjunto music because that's all they would play. I love all music, but my passion is conjunto. In middle school a great friend of mine's uncle would call me Razor because of the WWF wrestler at the time Razor Ramon. The name stuck by the time I was at Lanier all my friends called me Razor. I knew I always wanted to be DJ so I would make mixed tapes (mostly freestyle) and then my DJ name was born "DJ Razor". After high school I saved up some money and little by little started saving for DJ equipment and eventually started doing small gigs. I knew automatically that DJ’ing was meant for me. A few years ago, I saw that a new Tejano radio station was coming to San Antonio KLMO 98.9 FM and they were looking for DJs, so I sent an email and got a call back for an interview and it all worked out for the best it was like making the big leagues. I've met some great people at the station that are very knowledgeable about the radio life and what makes them amazing is that they share that info with no problem. I’m very blessed to be in this situation and to have a great wife that supports me with my beautiful kids seeing how happy it makes me
